Privately owned and operated, Grapevine RV Resort is nestled at the base of the historic Old Ridge Route highway, which connects Los Angeles County and Kern County, California. This 44-mile route through the San Joaquin Valley is notable for being the first major highway project initiated by the State of California in the early 1900s.

The name “Grapevine” originally referred to a 6.5-mile section of the Ridge Route that descends from Tejon Pass to Grapevine Canyon. The canyon, known as Canada de las Uva or “Grapevine Canyon”, got its name from early waggoners who had to navigate through dense grapevines in the area.

Now part of Interstate 5, the entire 44-mile route is commonly referred to as the Grapevine, as remnants of its history can still be seen with patches of grapevine lining the roadway at the base of the grade, heading south. Our resort is conveniently situated where I-5 meets Highway 99, just 15 miles south of Bakersfield, surrounded by the scenic Tejon Ranch foothills.

Big Rigs. Class “A” motorhomes 45’+. Size doesn’t matter as we provide ample space to accommodate every size RV in every one of our 187 pull-through spots. On top of this, enjoy a comfortable outdoor space with concrete patios and picnic tables to take in our gorgeous California skies and sunsets.
